The documentary about a „failed theatre project“ - a short film (Walls - Coronavirus - Theatre - Us) was shown as a supporting film during a theme week „Eisenhüttenstadt as a film city“ on the 11th of October 2020 in Friedrich-Wolf-Theater in front of a „silent classroom“. It is a replacement for a theatre project, which was supposed to take place on the 11th of June 2020 in this theatre, but which had to be cancelled because of coronavirus. A research theatre - „The walls - inside of me, around me“ or 30 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall - the 11th-grade theatre course went tracking the life with the walls. The fall of the Berlin Wall was an epoch-making upheaval in Germany and Europe, the wall between the two enemy political systems of the East and the West fell. But also the future of an individual changed fundamentally and continues to affect until today, e.g. in disorientation, rootlessness but also in liberation and reorientation. The students of the 11-12th-grade theatre course are convinced that the confrontation with those processes experienced by our parents and grandparents affects our identity and our way to experience the present. |
